Gas Meter Leakage Test Bench
Gas meters are extensively utilized in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The accuracy of gas meters holds paramount significance. To ensure safe usage, meticulous precision testing is imperative.
With competitive price and timely delivery, TNMA sincerely hope to be your supplier and partner.
For over two decades, we've been the driving force behind precision in the industry, supplying cutting-edge testing equipment to countless gas meter enterprises and inspection agencies. Our device ensured that gas meter factory products consistently meet the highest standards of sealing before they leave the factory.
This test bench is suitable for domestic diaphragm gas meters ranging from G1.6 to G4.0. Upon activation, the entire gas meter is subjected to a leak test, and the duration of the test process can be freely adjusted as needed.
The entire testing process is automatically controlled by a microcontroller based on the programmed settings. After the testing is complete, the results are indicated by indicator lights: a green light indicates a passing result, while a red light indicates a failing result.
Multiple meters undergoing testing are maintained at a constant temperature simultaneously. This simultaneous testing, using the best-sealed meter in the batch as a reference, is used to determine the leakage of the other meters. This approach improves upon the traditional method of comparing all tested meters to a single standard tank using differential pressure, effectively overcoming the impact of temperature on the testing results.
The system employs a microcontroller, high-precision A/D conversion, and precise differential pressure sensors. Each meter's pressure differential or leakage value is displayed in real-time, along with the internal pressure of the meter. This real-time display ensures that the testing results are intuitive, accurate, and reliable.
All components of the system, including pneumatic valves and solenoid valves, are imported from Japan (SMC) and adhere to rigorous manufacturing processes to ensure exceptional sealing performance, thus guaranteeing measurement accuracy.
Multiple gas meters are simultaneously tested (based on the number of workstations). During the testing process, parameters such as inflation pressure, running time, pressurization time, equilibrium time, testing time, exhaust time, and acceptable range can be set and stored within the device using precision pressure-reducing valves or an operational panel, with power outage protection functionality.

Installation and operation requirement
Due to the adoption of the dry gas leak detection method, the apparatus is sensitive to changes in environmental temperature. In order to prevent environmental temperature fluctuations from causing errors in the system, the equipment should be placed in a temperature-controlled and relatively enclosed room where significant atmospheric convection is absent. It should not be positioned near windows, doors, fans, or air vents. Additionally, it is advisable to precondition the equipment for constant temperature (preferably for a duration of at least 2 hours) before conducting leak detection.
Throughout the detection process, personnel should refrain from approaching the equipment being tested. It is essential to avoid any physical contact with the tested equipment using hands. If possible, minimize movement around the testing station. Due to the structural characteristics of membrane-type gas meters, insufficient pressurization time can lead to uneven inflation of the tested equipment, particularly when the pressure is high. In cases of unstable test results, extending the pressurization time (recommended to be at least 120 seconds) is recommended.
To mitigate the impact of temperature fluctuations during the testing process, the duration of the detection should be kept within a relatively short timeframe (recommended not to exceed 15 seconds).

What Is a Water Meter Test Bench? - Tnma
A Water Meter Test Bench is an equipment that can be built from a simple and completely manually operated machine, to the highest levels of high tech, designed with automatic controls, and IT support.
Understanding Water Meter Test Benches
A water meter test bench is a sophisticated apparatus designed to evaluate the performance and calibration of water meters. It serves as a standard reference for assessing the accuracy of various types of water meters, including residential, commercial, and industrial models. The test bench simulates real-world conditions to gauge the precision of water flow measurement, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and specifications.
How Does a Water Meter Test Bench Work?
At its core, a water meter test bench operates by subjecting water meters to controlled flow rates and pressures, enabling technicians to verify their accuracy and functionality. The process involves connecting the water meter under examination to the test bench apparatus, which precisely regulates the flow of water through the meter. By comparing the actual measurements obtained from the water meter with the expected values, technicians can determine if the meter is performing within acceptable tolerances.
Test benches can include features such as:
· Volumetric reference: Calibrated tanks, reference flowmeters, or weighing scales
· Work bench: Designed for multiple meters, with mechanical or pneumatic pressing
· Adaptors and separators: Special adaptors to fit different meter diameters
Test benches can be used for the metrological verification of water meter size from 1⁄2'' to 12''. Some accessories and options for water meter test benches include: Piston (volumetric), Gravimetric (balances), Calibrated volumes (tanks), and By comparison (master meters).
You can check if your water meter is faulty by filling a multi-galloned receptacle with an exact measurement. If the numbers don't add up, you have a faulty meter and that needs to be replaced as soon as possible.
Importance of Water Meter Testing
Water meter testing is indispensable for maintaining the integrity of water distribution systems and billing accuracy. Inaccurate meters can lead to revenue losses for utilities and unfair charges for consumers. By conducting regular tests using water meter test benches, utilities can identify faulty meters, detect leaks, and optimize water usage efficiency. Moreover, compliance with regulatory requirements ensures public trust and confidence in the reliability of water supply services.
Applications of Water Meter Test Benches
The versatility of water meter test benches extends beyond routine maintenance and calibration. These precision instruments find application in various scenarios, including:
1. Quality Assurance in Manufacturing
Water meter manufacturers rely on test benches to validate the accuracy and performance of newly manufactured meters before they are released to the market. This ensures that consumers receive reliable products that meet industry standards.
2. Research and Development
Innovation drives progress in the water industry, and water meter test benches play a crucial role in the research and development of new metering technologies. By subjecting prototypes to rigorous testing, engineers can refine designs, improve accuracy, and enhance durability.
3. Performance Evaluation
Municipalities and water utilities use water meter test benches to assess the performance of installed meters periodically. This proactive approach helps identify issues such as wear and tear, sensor drift, or tampering, allowing for timely maintenance and replacement.
Conclusion
In conclusion, water meter test benches are indispensable tools in the realm of water management, offering precision, reliability, and efficiency. From ensuring billing accuracy to optimizing water usage, these instruments play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of water distribution systems. By understanding the functions and significance of water meter test benches, stakeholders can uphold industry standards and deliver superior services to consumers.
