When you choose our sculptured memorial, you not only get a work of art but also a hassle-free ordering process. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Consult Your Cemetery
Before purchasing a headstone, it's crucial to contact your cemetery to understand their specific requirements. These may include restrictions on type, style, material, shape, design, color, and even foundation specifications. Don't proceed without this vital step.
Step 2: Your On-Site Responsibilities
You're responsible for setting the stone in place. This starts with the foundation (usually concrete) for the headstone to rest on. Many cemeteries offer this service for a fee, or you can contract it separately through a cemetery, monument dealer, vault dealer, or funeral home.
Step 3: Choose Your Style and Design
Granite size, color, and shape can influence the cost, and our offerings include standard front-face engraving. Each headstone specifies character counts allowed. Explore additional options like back-face engraving, portraits, and flower vases to customize your memorial.
Step 4: Place Your Order
Reference the engraving character counts in the personalization box and include your design choice. Ensure the correct ship-to address is provided during the order process.
Step 5: Designing Your Headstone
Once you've made your purchase, our skilled designers collect your personalization details and create a graphic for your review. You must approve this design before we proceed with production. We only create designs after receiving an order. If, for any reason, we can't get a design approved by you or your cemetery, we offer a 100% refund, with the exception of cases where the cemetery disallows the chosen stone due to not following Step 1.
Step 6: Engraving Process
The standard time for engraving, starting from the approved design, is approximately 5 weeks.
Step 7: Shipping
We offer free shipping to commercial businesses with full-time employees and equipment to unload the skid with the headstone. Alternatively, you can choose to have it shipped to a freight terminal for pickup. Shipping to a cemetery involves an added charge of $200 for the required liftgate service, while shipping to a residence or church incurs a $250 fee for the same service. Home-based businesses and farms do not qualify as commercial businesses and do not qualify for free shipping. All additional fees are charged by the carriers.
Step 8: Delivery
We ship via LTL Common Carrier, and any changes requested by you after shipment may result in significant carrier charges. Please note that freight and supply chain challenges may cause interruptions and delays.
Step 9: Delivery Inspection
Upon delivery, your designated on-site person must inspect the stone for any damage. If damage is found, the delivery must be rejected. While less than 1% of shipments arrive damaged, it's essential to follow this procedure to ensure a smooth resolution, including filing a claim and replacing the affected item(s).

- All that is remaining is painting the angel tombstone. You would have the lithichrome paint. It is the one that is recommended for headstones. Remember that it is a very runny paint so you need a steady hand. Also, using molasses would prevent such paint from easily going where it is not supposed to go.
