Red Cross Shelter and Mobile Support -Mountain Hospice
Mountain Hospice: A Red Cross-Approved Shelter
Mobile Crisis Support for States of Emergency in North Central WV
Just as the founders of Mountain Hospice saw a need and stepped up to fill that need, we continue to follow in their footsteps by offering our mobile crisis support resources during times of officially-declared states of emergency throughout all of north central West Virginia. In , Hurricane Sandy affected our community. People throughout our communities were without electricity, and many roads were impassable. Our local Belington Fire Department opened their doors to affected residents, which allowed Mountain Hospice the ability to care for some of our patients at the local fire department facility.
