Wearalloy 400 grade, is a high-carbon steel that is designed to tackle all forms of abrasion in different stress-induced setups. The Ar 400 Plate doesn't have definite chemistry but is characterized by its hardness. The plates in this range have a minimum hardness of 360 on the Brinell scale and have a nominal hardness of 400 Brinell. The plates are generally embedded with a higher content of carbon to ensure they are fit to resist sliding and wear in the system. Ar400 Plate is usually tempered and quenched using ingots or steel blocks.

These plates have good corrosion resistance properties but are difficult to machine and bend. The Ar400 Steel Plate offers a good bending capability and shows enhanced resistance to impact abrasion. The versatile plates have outstanding mechanical properties that are constant across different conditions. Ar400 Wear Plate is designed with a minimum tensile strength of mpa with a minimum yield strength of mpa. They can be easily elongated by 10% in the system.
