Can PVC floors be waterproof?

Apr. 18, 2024

PVC flooring is produced through coating, calendering, extrusion and other technologies. It has many advantages, such as green environmental protection, fire retardant, waterproof and moisture-proof. Although the composition of PVC flooring makes it resistant to water damage, the floor may still be affected if it is exposed to water for a long time.

In fact, whether it is PVC flooring or other types of floors, you need to pay attention to waterproofing and moisture-proofing during use. Even if the floor itself is waterproof, we still need to be vigilant. The waterproof performance of this type of floor is better than that of ordinary floors, and occasional water spills or splashes will not cause serious problems. However, if it is soaked in water for a long time, it will still have a certain degree of impact. Therefore, although PVC flooring is waterproof, it does not mean that it can withstand long-term water immersion.

Only by cleaning up water traces in time and avoiding prolonged water immersion can the floor be ensured to be used for a long time and maintained in good condition.
